TourYemen respects your privacy and handles personal information responsibly. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights that may be available to you.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on your inquiry, booking and travel arrangements.

Contact and booking information

This may include your name, email, telephone number, nationality, country of residence, date of birth, preferred language, tour dates, itinerary, flights, accommodation, rooming preferences, accompanying travelers and special requests.

Passport, visa and security information

When required for travel arrangements, we may collect passport copies and details, photographs, visa information, entry and exit details, security-clearance information, permits and information requested by immigration, aviation, security or other authorities. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to confirm or operate the booking.

Health, dietary and emergency information

You may provide relevant medical, dietary, accessibility, mobility or emergency-contact information so that we can arrange suitable services and protect your safety. We collect only information reasonably necessary for the trip and use explicit consent where required by law.

Payment and communication information

We may retain payment amounts, bank-transfer confirmations, invoice and refund details, as well as emails, WhatsApp messages, inquiry forms, quotations, complaints, reviews and booking discussions. Banks and payment providers process financial data under their own privacy policies. Do not send complete card details through ordinary email or WhatsApp.

Website and technical information

Our website may collect IP address, browser and device details, approximate location, pages visited, referral source, cookie identifiers and website security or performance data through server logs, cookies, analytics or similar technologies.

3. How and Why We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and prepare quotations or itineraries.
  • Create and manage bookings, visas, security clearances, permits, flights, hotels, transport, guides, meals and activities.
  • Communicate operational, payment, schedule, safety and emergency information.
  • Process invoices, cancellations and refunds.
  • Protect travelers, staff, suppliers and TourYemen from safety, fraud or security risks.
  • Maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes and comply with legal or government requirements.
  • Improve our website and services and send marketing only where permitted.

We do not sell passport, health, emergency-contact or security-clearance information, and we do not use this information for unrelated advertising.

5. Sharing and International Transfers

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with airlines, hotels, guides, drivers, camps, activity providers, travel agencies, banks, technology providers, medical or emergency services, professional advisers, and immigration, aviation, security, airport, local-government or other competent authorities.

TourYemen is based in Yemen, so traveler information may be processed in Yemen and in other countries connected with the itinerary, payment, airline or service provider. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in your home country. Where applicable, we use reasonable contractual, technical, confidentiality or other legally permitted safeguards. Some transfers are necessary to provide the travel services you request.

6. Cookies, Analytics and Marketing

The TourYemen website may use necessary cookies for security and essential functions, and may use preference, analytics, advertising or social-media technologies. Where legally required, non-essential technologies will not operate until you provide consent. You can change or withdraw consent through the website’s cookie settings or your browser settings.

We may send tour dates, destination news or offers where you requested them, gave consent or applicable law otherwise permits it. You may unsubscribe at any time. Operational messages about an inquiry, visa, flight, payment, security clearance or booking are not marketing messages.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary. Our normal approach is:

  • Unconfirmed inquiries: up to 24 months after the last meaningful communication.
  • Booking, payment and accounting records: up to seven years after completion or cancellation, where needed for accounting, disputes or legal obligations.
  • Passport, visa and security-clearance documents: normally deleted or securely anonymized within 90 days after completion or cancellation, unless a longer period is required by an authority, law, unresolved payment, complaint, fraud concern or legal claim.
  • Health, accessibility and emergency information: deleted when no longer needed for the trip, unless connected with an unresolved incident, complaint or claim.
  • Website and security logs: normally up to 12 months, unless needed to investigate misuse or a security incident.
  • Marketing information: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent; a minimal suppression record may be retained to respect your opt-out.

8. Information Security

TourYemen uses reasonable measures such as restricted access, password-protected systems, secure connections, confidential storage, backups and secure deletion procedures. Passport copies and sensitive travel documents should not be stored in publicly accessible website folders. No internet, email or messaging system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information under our control and will respond to data incidents as required by applicable law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your country or region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; object to direct marketing; request a portable copy of certain information; and complain to an appropriate data-protection authority. These rights may be limited where information is required for an active booking, legal obligation, accounting record, authority request, fraud prevention or legal claim.

To make a request, email info@touryemen.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

10. Children and Third-Party Services

A parent, guardian or authorized adult must arrange travel for a child. We may collect a child’s identity, passport, travel, dietary or safety information only as necessary to arrange and safely deliver the trip or meet legal requirements.

Airlines, banks, hotels, government authorities, WhatsApp, social media platforms, maps, video services and other third parties may process information independently under their own privacy policies. TourYemen is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties. Avoid sending sensitive information through public comments or social-media posts.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services, website technologies, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date. We will provide additional notice or request consent where legally required for a material change.
